Guide recommendation for Flaming Gorge - WET1 - 08-20-2018

Have a couple friends wanting to fish for lakers at the gorge with a guide in September. Anyone have any recommendations?

Unless they mean September 2019 they may be out of luck. Jim Williams is fully booked and likely all of the other guides are also booked. They will probably have to take whomever they can find (assuming anyone has an opening).

I'd check out Randy Browning. He was just on Ksl outdoors last week.

Another vote for Randy, met him and chatted on the dock as well as picked his brain a bit on facebook and he knows his stuff, far nicer than some of the other guides who stand there smoking and act like they own the place with no respect for others.

Another Vote for Randy, Hes an awesome guy, local to the lake and will work his Butt off to get you guys on the fish. he might be booked out as well but its worth the ask! he might be able to get you on a cancelation list as well.

I have fished with Jim Williams 4 different times. Money well spent.

Thanks, seems they're more interested in a meat trip than they are trying to target just big fish and that's what they did with him a few years ago.

Surprised Bruce Parker was not mentioned, but I think he is pretty much retired, but I think he does occasional trips.
