Porcupine 08/20/18 - alexaedita - 08-21-2018 Fished it yesterday from 4.00pm to about 7.30 pm. Got couple of nice browns at 1.3 and 1.4 pounds respectively. Right of the dam, walking it back and forth. I was the only person there. Set one poll with worm, later switched to power bait , not a hit. Both fish loved the little rapala minnow, so I kept throwing it at them. Also tried flies - no luck. Bunch of little fish is hatching right at the shoreline , so that's why rapala is most effective. I lost a few, my reaction was a bit off yesterday. Overall, i give this trip a C+, it's a little too early for trout anyhow. But in all honesty, you can probably get away with cheap chinese sub. So just thinking out loud, they must be cutthroat because the koke and Browns are spawning in the fall and I don't think the bows are fertile. Thanks for the info. J [signature] |
