First Fluke of the year - gdn443 - 05-13-2004

Legal size fluke where taken out side of Clinton in 65ft of water.Fluke rig with squid worked that day. Larger fish are being taken around Fishers Island in deeper water. This may be a good year for fluke, we need one. Water still cold and they'er here already.[crazy]

Hey Tom, hard to believe that their here so early. Water must be getting warm quick. I usually go for them in the CT. river by North Cove, but gave it up a few years ago due to low catch rate. Let me know if you hear anything about the fishing being better this year. I just got back from VT today from five days of fishing. If you get time you can read my report on the VT board.
