Paints for soft plastics? - DonInDenver - 08-05-2004

I want to paint some eyes, spots, etc., on some soft plastic lures (Sassy Shads). I've tried using Majic Markers, but the colors don't stay, they rub off. What do you all recommend?

I've seen some sort of soft plastics paint at Gander Mountain, I think. I'll stop by there tomorrow and get more info on it for you.

Thanks DDR-

I appreciate the help. We don't have Gander Mtn here yet, but I just found out that a Gander Mtn store will be opening here in the Fall.

I tend to have have good luck with the Sharpie permanent markers. They do have a variety of colors and do stay on for quite awhile. With time they will fade. Just simply reapply as needed on a dry lure or plastic.[cool]

Don, here's what I found:

Spike It! is the name of the product. It's probably not exactly what you're looking for but it is a dye for soft plastics.
