Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley - malcolm - 09-26-2002
Fishing is much better this week. Largemouth are being caught on topwater very early and late. During the day most largemouth are caught on medium running crankbaits. Smallmouth are improving and are being caught on jig/pork combinations and plastic worms. Whitebass are in the jumps early and late, but are scattered. Crappie fishermen are catching some nice crappie on minnows and jigs. The drop offs at the mouths of the bays are the better areas. Bluegill are excellent on live baits. Under the docks are the best spots for bluegill. Catfishing is still very good. Especially below Barkley Dam.
TIP: Fall fishing patterns are beginning.
