Flyfishing for Stripers at LM - JohnN - 02-28-2005 Anyone on this thread that fly fishes for Stripers at Lake Mead?? I will be later on in the spring when they start moving off the bottom, and into near the surface. Havent had much luck with bait/lures, so will give the little ole fly a toss. With my recent acquisition of a 7' Berleky Cherrywood (7-8wt) flyrod I planned on researching it and giving it a try. I know the rod maybe a little small but I'm going to give it a try anyway. Let me know how you make out. The rod is one I picked up many years ago and just recently got it back for the purpose of trying out the Striper thing. If this turns out to be something I like I'll more than likely upgrade. But, for now it's still in the testing process. I've never been to that Fly Shop but I may have to swing by and have a talk with them on this. Thanks for the tip. Take care, David [signature] |
