Best GPS? - Tarpon4me - 01-18-2006 I'm in the market for a new GPS, and i'm not up to speed on the new electronics that are out. There are a few options that i'd really like it to have: 1. Color screen 2. Marine charts for the East coast 3. Computer linkable 4. Reasonable price is a must 5. Hard mountable 6. Extremely shock and water proof (I drive pretty hard) I might be able to bend a little on a couple of those demands in order to get a quality GPS that will do the job for around 200-275 dollars. I also was wonder if it was possible to manually input your own waypoints into all GPS's. That may sound like a silly question, but there were alot of GPS's I saw at Basspro that didn't have number pads on them, and I couldn't help but think how the hell you logged your destination in the thing. Anyways, any help will do me right, thanks yall. [signature] Re: [Tarpon4me] Best GPS? - vetmom - 02-11-2006 Can't help you with most of the questions but can solve the number problem. When you put in a waypoint the location(mark), the coordinates where you are come up. You use the up and down arrow keys to change each number. [signature] |
