Went to Pineview today . Boy it was slow and foggy . Snow on the ice has melted and made the ice slick . Saw a 10 to 12" crappie caught early . Thought it was going to turn on ,but still nothing . moved around 5 times and finally when my boy wanted to pack it up he got a bite . He caught most of the 7 perch in a hour with 2 at the 10" range . left at 2:00 pm when they quit hitting . I was hoping for 20 but will take what we get . and a big plus is the youngster got some fish . Maybe I will pass down my madness . Going to the "Berry" tomorrow . Got a email from the Marina stating that the ice was 10" and very little slush and not much snow . May need ice stakes next weekend for the BFT dinner .
