Stream Fishing for Trout/Salmon is Heating UP - fish_a_holic - 10-15-2006 fire ready for action... Went out this morning with fire, Scott, Prybis and Thomas...durfeestyle and a friend of his was there too...(all friends of mine from all over the State) fire hooked into 7 fish, but was overmatched by the fish - fire 0, fish 7; I gave up on the nightcrawler thing that they said was the hot ticket, and tied on a 1/3 oz Little Cleo in pink and white, approximately 15 minutes later hooked into a small salmon, got this one in thanks to a great net job by Scott. Scott, ready for action too... A couple fly fishermen 20 yards down stream from us hooked and landed approximately 13 fish before we got our first one out of the water...but we still had a great time with the guys and hope to do it again, real soon. here's my small fish, taken on a 1/3 oz. little cleo, using 6lb. test Cajun Red line on my 6' Bionic Blade. (Note the rip in my pants...the trail to the Little Calumet River is a precariously steep trail, be prepared to fall once or twice if you venture there). [signature] |
