Trolling Motor repair - JandSGuns - 04-24-2007

Does anyone know a good shop or individual that will work on older small trolling motors?

I have a 1950's Firestone (Scott-Atwater) 16 1/2 hp that needs a carb kit and a tune up. I also have a 1967 Johnson that so far runs fine.

I have talked to several places and they just cringe when I tell them how old the motors are and no one wants to work on older motors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I had a guy by the name of Dave put a carb kit in my mariner and he did a good job. He lives in Provo and repairs all types of boat motors. He repairs motors for SS marine in the day and then repairs them out of his home at night. He works mostly on motors/outboards build before 1985? because of an agreement with his employer. His number is 427-3984
