Walleyes in the Weeds... - KeepitWeedless - 07-01-2008

My question here is...
What kind of tackle should I use when targeting 'eyes in heavy vegetation?

I use 12 lb flourocarbon under a bobber .Depending on the weeds i would go up to 15lb test.

Thanks, I'll really have to consider that. What about bait?

A dangling minnow with a twitch will work great even a worm. I have caught walleyes this way many times.

cast small rapals in to pockets. another way is to use a harness. this is kind of secret around my parts. tie up a crawler harness about 24 inches long. put a # 7 split shot about 8 inches infront of the swivle. cast into the weeds and retreive over the tops of the brush. walleyes will shoot up to the top to take it but only in the thick cover. but alot of bigger eyes come with the ralalas along the edges just at dusk. ken
