Cuyamaca on the fly - peter805 - 08-26-2009 I have been doing some reading on Cuyamaca reserv. It looks like a very nice place to fly fish and/or float tube. I keep thinking I am going to go but never get around to it. It is suppose to be a good lake to fly fish from shore as it has casting room around a large part of the lake and the deepest part is like 10ft deep. The 180 degree spraying of the tube. I doubt it can do any damage. The spray will be cooling off quickly. I doubt the tube even gets to 100 degree. There is some very good fly fishing for bass/bluegill on many of the reservoirs and many are float tube friendly. I know there are several is south SD that allow float tubing.. including upper otay..
