More Boating Safety Courses Scheduled - FishNews - 02-25-2011
LINCOLN, Neb. - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has added several boating safety courses to the schedule so boaters may become certified and safe operators.
Anyone operating a motorboat or personal watercraft in Nebraska must be at least 18 years of age but may be ages 14 through 17 if they have passed the Nebraska boating safety course and are in possession of a valid certificate card. However, a boating safety course is recommended for boaters of all ages. Boating safety certification from other states is recognized in Nebraska.
The following is a list of courses recently added to the schedule:
March 6 - Lincoln; April 20, 21 - Papillion; May 7 - Lincoln; May 21 - Papillion; May 22 - Lincoln; June 1 - Valley; June 20, 22 - Lincoln; June 29 - Valley.
