11-17 Awesome Berry morning - MasterDaad - 11-18-2012
My father and I took a young nephew of mine up to Strawberry this morning. It was shaping up to be a slow-ish day with 8 fish nice fish in the boat by 11am.
We were about to call it when we found the hot spot and conditions were perfect.
Between 11 and 12 we boated 14 fish... with doubles on the line twice and a few seconds from a triple.
It was a really fun day of experimentation for me. I wanted to play with jigging a worm-tipped tube while trolling. That technique landed two of the largest fish of the day at 19" (One bow, one Cutt).
The flies were still overall the best performing lure, but everything took a turn hooking into the fish today.
Great fun to be out with the family

It was quite windy in the last hours of light. Brutal cold wind. no snow on most of the shores, but that which was falling at sunset was starting to stick.
