BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Luke Clausen of Spokane, Wash., completed a four-day sweep to win the FLW Tour Championship and fishing's top prize of $500,000 on Saturday.
The 26-year-old took the win with a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 10 ounces, edging past Scott Martin of Clewiston, Fla., by 6 ounces.
The tournament began Wednesday on Logan Martin Lake near Birmingham, with the top 48 pros and 48 co-anglers based on year-end points standings competing in head-to-head competition.
Martin took home $50,000 for his five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 4 ounces.
Anthony Gagliardi of Prosperity, S.C., finished third with a five-bass limit weighing 13 pounds, 7 ounces and won $40,000.
Stephen Tosh Junior of Waterford, Calif. won the Co-angler Division and $25,000 Friday after catching five bass that weighed 13 pounds, 1 ounce.
