[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]On Sunday, October 17th friends, fellow sport fisherman, industry leaders and tournament anglers will come together at a luncheon to pay tribute to the many contributions that artist Chuck Byron generously made during his lifetime to sportfishing.[/size][/font]

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]A fun and exciting afternoon luncheon will be held at the Bali Hai Restaurant on [/size][/font]Shelter Island beginning at 12 noon. Included in the program is live music entertainment, silent auction and a raffle and live auction with MC Pat McDonell, Editor of Western Outdoor News. Tournament anglers who will have fished the previous day will be recognized and awarded prizes.

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]For those who may not be able to participate in the Saturday tournament, the luncheon is open to all who wish to attend. The cost is $25 per person. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (760) 789-8555 or online at www.chuckbyron.com. Chuck’s fellow artists, David Wirth, Bill Boyce, Jon Petty, and others have all offered original works of art as prizes and auction items. Thousands of dollars in prizes including fishing tackle, fishing trips and vacations will be given and auctioned away. [/size][/font]

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]Proceeds from the tournament and luncheon will benefit Friends of Rollo, a non profit organization which introduces children to sportfishing, and an art scholarship fund to encourage young artists in marine and wildlife art. The first art scholarship will be awarded by United Anglers during the tribute luncheon.[/size][/font]

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]The Chuck Byron Fish On Tournament, a unique competition of private boaters and anglers fishing from the sport fleet, will take place on Saturday, October 16th. The early bird tournament fee is $75 which includes tournament entry, event t-shirt, tribute and awards luncheon and sponsor give-aways. Registration after [/size][/font]10/8/04 is $85. To enter, complete the registration form found here or on the website and mail with payment to P.O. 83847, San Diego, CA 92138. The open party boat Cherokee Geisha from H&M Landing is now set up to take tournament reservations. Tournament entry fees are in addition to the cost of the trip.
