Salmon River
#1
Hope you all are finding good fishing spots, what with the Weber blown out and all. Has anyone fished the Salmon River out of Stanley? Any info would be great, I'm heading up there in August. I understand it's mainly dry fly only, and you have to use barbless hooks. But that's the extent of my knowledge. Thanks...and congrats flygoddess on your new job!

My brother in-law and my nephew (in fact was there this weekend) go all the time. August might be a little warm, but you never know. Bring some terrestrials, caddis nymphs and of course WOOLY BUGGERS. [cool]

If you are in Stanley don't limit yourself to just the Salmon- The middle Fork, Yankee Fork, Bear creek and a bunch of others near by can be good and scenic. Also the area has a bundle of hot pots. Just do a google search and you can find quite a few.
