Panfish persuit
#1
Yesterday I decided I'd go find a few Panfish for the table. I've never eaten Blue Gill or Crappie so I headed for Glendale where I knew there were some to be had. Launched the boat and the first thing to happen was the cable broke on my accelerator. I proceed down the pond with the cover off the motor and my arm draped over the top of the motor to run the throttle (flywheel has a cover).

On to the fishing. I trolled very slowly with a piece of a white senko to find where they were. The first one I hook up with is an 11" Blue Gill. The fishing was steady from then on with the biggest being the big Gill and one Crappy of 11". I caught 20+ with a few big ones getting off. I kept 14 with the smallest being 8 1/2".

Hi Joyride. It is good to hear you are getting into them. I haven't been out again since our trip to Condie. I plan to take my son somewhere next week, but will probably stay in Utah so he doesn't have to buy a day license for Idaho. I have got to get the camper off the truck so I can pull the boat. It has been awhile since I had it in the water. I have been doing camping with the family instead of fishing. Acey
