provo river
#1
hey guys i got out to the river last weekend and had a ball. heres the low down on whats up. for the first time of the years bugs are hatching and the surface fishing is pretty good. if you dicide to nymph small nymphs are working well and if you get into a hole you can catch a ton of rainbows. I had the strangest thing happen to me when I was up, I caught a Walleye up by the middway stream, i never seen anyone catch one up that far but i caught one using a sowbug flie. I wanted to take it home but did not want my backpack to stink so I released him. tell me how you all do.

Back in Kansas where I was raised . I use to catch walleye year round in the rivers .Even caught Sturgeon there . I just thought they liked rivers . The Fish & Game must of stocked them , I never knew or even thought about it back then .

I have read in several places that rivers can be good walleye fishin' but not in utah or at least not that far upstream from a lake.
