PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks will hold a Public Open House Meeting on Jan. 30 to seek public input on proposed visitor services and resource protection improvements at Roughlock Falls in Spearfish Canyon.
The open house meeting is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 in Room "B" at Hudson Hall located at 222 W. Hudson St. in Spearfish. Game, Fish and Parks personnel will be available for one-on-one conversations to explain plans, answer questions and take comments. A formal presentation will be made at 7:30 p.m.
The Department of Game, Fish and Parks acquired and became responsible for the Roughlock Falls property in July 2006. The department would like to initiate improvements this spring.
