i didnt fish it, but there is plenty of water and flow in the Sevier river between junction and hatch alongside 89... man it would take you a couple of weeks to fish all that water! [Image: sev1.jpg] [Image: sev2.jpg] heres some 15 second video i took - march 9th, 2002 10 am . . this is about 15 miles north of hatch . . .also saw a couple of places touting "river fishing" - commercial access . . hey blm,

its pretty easy - my $159 olympus camera takes a 15 sec shot, and its in quicktime (.mov) . . you go to real.com and download their free helix real time producer software . . .then you take the .mov file, and make it to a real time .rm file . . .then you upload it somewhere you have space on the internet . .and link to it . . . thats about it . . glad you liked it . .

i have been by that stretch many times without fishing it. i was wondering about the area and how much is public and private. i have heard some good things about the river there. perhaps not alot of fish but some very large ones. thanks for the pics.

most of the places it looks like you would only have to step over an old saggy fence . . theres only one or two little spots where theres cows still . . . as long as you didnt throw trash around, and if the owner came along you could always offer him a fiver or tenner . . and there was two places i saw that were trying to attract fisherman . . .cabins/fishing/diner . .ect

95% of the river is un-fishable if your wanting to fish it make sure you get permission from the land owner.

SoUtDuckHntr is right, i was wrong to suggest jumping a fence without trying to contact the landowner, even if is a dilapidated old fence, and the water is 10 feet from the road . .

like i mentioned i saw 2 places with signs along 89 that said "RIVER FISHING" . . try them out! its not worth the trouble or the ill will towards fisherman in general . . .

that is what i was afraid of. i figured it was mostly private by the lay of the land. probably why i never fished it all the times i have driven by. would be nice to get a map of the area and see the sections that are open ill have to look into it. thanks for the info.

if you need a place on the web for your pics, the company i work for offers personal websites for $5/month - 100 megs of space, unlimited email addresses and forwarding, lots of bells and whistles . . .
