What species?

[:/][:/] Can anyone tell me what kind of fish this is. Caught it in very shallow water in Gallatin Tn. right off my dock with a crank swimming minnow. Looks Bass-like but has a kind of 'sucker' mouth. Also a pinkish purple color. I attached a picture below.

Anyone know the species?

looks like a fresh water black drum to me,
