Rivers End Tackle Seminars
#1
Tomorrow, Saturday March 21st, Capt. Keith Salisbury will be talking about strategies and techniques for taking big bass on live baits. Keith is one of the most consistent takers (and releaser) of jumbo stripers and a consistent winner in the ASA and On The Water contests.
Next week March 28th, Capt. Pat Renna will be talking about another extremely effective technique for taking bass of all sizes, trolling the tube and worm.

Our Saltwater Fly Fishing School is set for April 25th. Its an all day event with Lou Tabory and "Q" Kresser as instructors. Its a hands on course that's classroom and "on the water" instruction. Class size is limited and the fee is $150, including lunch. Call us for more details.

Fishing Report

Striped bass are still limited to winter over fish for the next few weeks. Hamburg Cove, the upper Thames River and the Housatonic River all have active fish. Some small bass have also been caught on bait from Saybrook Point.
Blackfish is open until the end of April but we haven't heard of any yet. Winter flounder opens April 1st and this will probably be the last flounder season for a few years.
