Willard wipers
#1
Hoping to see some good reports on Willard wipers tonight, I'm headed out Thurs. after work to give them a try. Hopefully I can find some working the shad. I have 4 days off so I'm planning on chasing them some. Haven't been on the pond since July.[cool]

I will out there after work too. Hope to see ya. I've heard that trolling for wipers is decent. I've also heard first hand some good success casting Kastmasters or top waters into spots where birds are diving into even though there are no "boils" per se in that immediate area.

It's been a while since I been there too, but I am hoping to make a trip either friday night or for sure b4 the big weekend is over. I'm trying to decide whether to make it a morning or evening attack. I'm not really set up to chase boils (all I have for a motor is a 55 lb electric), but would love to throw into one of those things, as I have never even seen one before. But I think trolling will be my main method, so let me know how you do tonight, also any information from anybody else would be surely appreciated as well.

Personally, I think that evening wiper fishing this time of year is just a little more productive than morning fishing. However, morning fishing out on Bug Bay is a whole lot more comfortable.
