Recently the Kenai River was closed for Salmon Fishing.

After an increase in the salmon run over the past couple of weeks, the Department of Fish and Game opened the Kenai River to bait fishing. A size limit is still in effect allowing anglers to keep fish less than 46 inches as well as greater than 55 inches. It was a challenging start to the Alaska Fishing season, but has finally come full circle with the promise of a chance to catch the elusive King Salmon[/font]
