Questions
#1
#1: Why are some hooks when you look down the shaft curved to one side?
#2: What is the difference between the line in the boxes and on the spools? (I have seen this green Stren line that comes on a spool for 1,000 yards and 12 lb test. Right above it there is a box with 220 yards of green stren 12lb line. What is the difference besides cost?)

I don't know the difference of the lines, but it does usually seem to be pretty cruddy when it comes on the spool.

about 780 yards is the differance.

the hook is bent of center so it will turn when you set the hook and hook into the fish.

later chuck

line from a spool tends to be really crappy depending on how cheap it is, it tangles easily and doesn't cast very far. i always buy brand name line. what i can advise is to for example: all reels have 3 different lb lines you can spool on it, always go for the the middle of those ranges, so if you can spool it with 4lb,6lb, and 8lb...spool it with 6lb. many people make the mistake of putting 10lb line on a 4lb reel, then they complain that they cant cast far haha.
