Line Memory
#1
Wanted to switch out my line for the winter season so I got a line that I have stored in my cabinet for a few years now. I dont know who the MFG is it came pre-spooled with old TFO MK II reel. The line looks new never fished but its coils pretty bad Ive tried just lightly pulling it but it goes right back to coiling up some mention take a hair blow dryer put it on low and stretch the line out ... ?..?

can it be fixed or do I just junk it

I found if a line coils, you can straighten it temporary. It will go back to coiling. I have even had line I have gone out on the field, put a rag over my receiver ball and peeled the amount of line I expected to be using. Lightly pulled to straighten, but after reeled back in a couple of times, there it is again. Winter is the worse.

I have some SYLK if you need some floating.
