The Colorado Division of Wildlife will host a Warm Water Fishing Clinic at John Martin Reservoir State Park June 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
DOW staff will present information about warm water fish species and tips on how to catch them! The program will be geared toward adults, but fishermen of any age are welcome!
Presenting the program will be Jim Ramsay, Aquatic Biologist, and Rick Gardner, District Wildlife Manager, both from the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
There is no cost to attend, but participants need to have a State Park Pass if they want to go fishing after the program.
This weekend, June 4-5, is the Free Fishing Weekend in Colorado! The first full weekend of June each year, folks are not required to have a fishing license! All other fishing regulations still apply.
John Martin Reservoir State Park is located approximately 20 miles west of Lamar. Take Highway 50 to the town of Hasty, turn south and drive about 2 miles to the visitor center.
