New Fisher Here

Hey all, this is my introductory post. I have joined mainly because I love fishing, even recently picking it up. I'm going to need a lot of help with what to put in my tackle box, and choosing a better fishing pole. I actually probably need some new equipment right about now after fighting a 1.2ft catfish that was 4 pounds. Now it won't cast as far or as well as it did, but it's fine cause it's an ancient pole. I believe that the brand of it is Johnny Quest.

So can someone tell me what tackle box and new pole I should buy? Thanks!

hiya Sam...welcome to the site... I see you have posted on one forum for an assist on a new rod and reel.. but Id also suggest the freshwater forum.. may get more responses there... so Im going to move this to that forum and see what happens...
