Mantua fly recomendations?
#1
So I fished at Mantua for the first time last Sunday. A friend and I caught a total of 7 bass and 3 bluegill on multiple lures using spinning rods... good fun.
But I would like to start using the fly rod there. What would you recommend using as far as flys go? Streamers? Nymphs? Hopper-dropper? What would be best for bass vs bows? (Or would something work for both?)
Thanks

Wooly buggers, leaches, and worms for both. Try some poppers for the bass. And little green and brown nymphs, and parachute adams and pale morning duns for trout. You can catch just about anything from mantua on all of those.
Hope that helps PM me if you need anymore details.

Perfect list. Echoing the Buggers too. Olive and Brown. Prince Nymphs in #12. Also Rickards Burgundy and Burnt Orange seal bugger...KILLLER!
