Abu Garcia Ultracast ULT 2000 Help

Hi everyone. I am having a problem with my Ultracast ULT 2000. I took the bail off, and now I cannot get it back on. The side with the two bent rods and the spring is whats giving me trouble. Could someone show/tell me how it is supposed to go so I can get it back together?

this site should be of some assistance to you...

usualy what I do to get the bail spring back in place is to first set the spring in the hole, then take the bail with out setting in to the mounting position but placing the spring in the tiny hole of the bail.

then using the bail, I rap the spring one time then set the bail in place and put the screw back in place. ya, it is tricky but with patients can be done.

Well if its just the spring you can't get back in,you can do without it.On some reels I have the spring breaks over time?I still use the reel since I normally close the bail by hand,only thing the bail will be loose.What I do is make a spacer or shim out of some thin rubber or plastic,or a small washer .I make a hole for the screw to go through,this shim should get sqeezed between then making it harder to open and close the bail,"once you put it back together with the spacer".Adjust the tension to your liking,keep a screw driver with you incase you need to tighten it back over time.I like to do the same for the other side of the bail as well,this way you don't need such a thick spacer where the screw is.Washer or spacer should be no more thicker than a credit card.This is a fix I do that works for me when that spring breaks or I can't put it back together Paulpro tip!
