PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI—Wisconsin walleye pros Jim and Tim Minnema beat falling water levels and the country's top pro walleye fishing teams to claim first place in the recent Cabela's Masters Walleye Circuit on the Mississippi River, near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
"We've won other tournaments, but nothing like this," says Tim. "This is special. Dad and me—world walleye champions. It's awesome. It's a great ending to the season."
The Minnemas brought in five fish each day for a total 29.03 pounds, earning them $27,500 in cash, plus $1,000 for the highest placing Ranger boat owner in the Ranger Cup tournament series.
