Never been a fisherman. Now am retired and have the time Smile.

Probably be using vintage equipment since my shooting is mostly all black powder and our tall console radio in the living room has tubes that glow in the dark, an old 1936 GE.

I'm trying to find old timey dacron braid fishing line...

Welcome to the site Fielder. Sorry, I've got no idea where you would find older dacron braid, except for mayb e doing an on-line search. Good luck with your vintage quest.

I managed to fine a modern made braided dacron, at first look it is very like the common stuff everybody was using in the '60s on medium baitcasting reels.

Mason 'Great Water' in 12 pound test.

It certainly seems to make backlash much less of a problem.
