The Berry good fun.
#1
I made a trip to the Berry this morning...

I got on the water about 8:00am and had the first Cut on my first cast.. Then it took about a 1/2 hr. for the next one to get in the boat..I did lose a few at the boat and just after the hit and some would follow the jerkbaite to the boat..
I was fishing along the shore in water from 1' to 10' depth and was having the Cuts after my swim baits but one was better then all the other..
I tried some real big baits and small one but the bigger the better..
The best was a Lucky craft in a 128 size, not sure how many I caught or missed or had follow..
The water was 43 deg. and just a little wind all day with some clouds off and on..

The bigger fish was on the points today in less then 5' of water.. Use bigger lures, I used the 128 or 125? well it was one of those # of lucky craft lures..They would not leave it alone..With 6 cuts over 23"..

Wow that looks like a lot of fun... Wish I could get there to enjoy this hot season of fishing, but it's a little out of my range for a day trip, but they sure are pretty fish... Nice report... Later J
