Flaming Gorge late December??

Have some buddies coming in to town for the holidays. I was wodering if going to the Gorge in a boat in late December for Macks or other is adviseable or even possible? Ramp conditions etc. I have heard December is a good time for Macks, but is late December/January still ok?

Dec and Jan fishing at the Gorge can be great. But water and ramp conditions change daily. So if you're planning on boat fishing, you'll have to keep checking conditions to see if it freezes over. Often it won't, but sometimes it will.
