Smith and Morehouse

I am just itching to get up into the Uintas and was wondering if anyone has been up by Smith and Morehouse? According to NOAA it looks like the area is free of snow but i was wondering if the lake is open. Thanks

It should be. It is one of the first to open since it is lower elevation.

I was planning on going up there this weekend.

What kind of stuff has worked there in the past? I was planning on using some spinners (panther martin) but wasn't sure what has produced well in the past.

in the morning and evening I have had a lot of success with a flu and a bubble.

Smith and Morehouse has been open for several weeks, the road has been graded and it has been stocked twice with really nice rainbow. The grayling are also doing really well and seem to be taking nymphs right below the surface. The water is a little dirty from the run off but can still be fun.
