Spring Flotilla deal
#1
Just want to put up this new post to make sure everyone understands what's happening.

Who: Anyone associated with BFT

What: Spring Flotilla, a get-together for all BFT members and their families

When: May 4th
Fishing will start at any time, usually between first light and 7:00

Most anglers will return around 11-12 to prepare for dinner and socialize

Non-anglers are welcome to clean up around the dikes at any time and may
congregate at the old fish cleaning site until the main pavilion is available

Ice_sled will provide the fish and hushpuppies at 1:00. Side dishes and
desserts will be provided by members (watch for more on this)

When all participants have finished eating and have had a chance to
socialize we will begin awards for the Ice-Fishing Challenge and general
drawing for door prizes

After the awards and prizes are presented we encourage all to help clean up
around the dikes and springs. We have officially adopted Lincoln Beach and
intend to keep it clean year-round. Bags and gloves will be provided.

TubeDude has agreed to provide a short demonstration on how to fillet
catfish. The exact time hasn't been set yet.

Where: Lincoln Beach, Utah Lake.

Why: Because we like you.

How: With a little help from each of us. Many hands and all that.

The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.

I just checked the weather for May 4th. The average low is 43° and the high is 70°. That should make for a nice pleasant day with the temperatures in the sixties for our dinner and awards, etc.. I know that ADOLF (average day of last frost) is about then, too, so it shouldn't be frosty in the morning when we head out to fish. Also won't be too hot when we are cleaning up the area.

Last 3 Willard Flotillas were anything from high winds and rain, to just cloudy and cool. Hope being a bit further south will improve mother natures disposition [Wink]

I think she owes us one. We've suffered some pretty mean days out on the ice this year.

Thanks Craig. When you get an approximation on how many will be eating could you post that?

Average sounds good to me. Like Forest says
We have had our share of wild and wet weather. Although I think last year was pretty nice. Maybe a little wavy, but we had fun. Later J

Sure will. If I were to guess now I would say between 30 and 60. It may be that a bunch of people are waiting until it's closer to decide one way or the other.
