I agree completely with DBW's recommendations as for the best places to try this winter. My favorite place in the region is The Narrows on Beaver Dam Wash above Motoqua. It's very remote and the road is horrible but winter fishing has been great except this year. I'd skip it this winter as last year's drought really took out many trout. Nevada still appears to stock the stream upstream a bit despite the small reservoir being removed after the huge floods in Jan 2005. Hopefully that will lead to fish repopulating downstream in Utah if we get a better water year. I found the site www.utah.gov/fishing/so_ut_trout_streams.html very helpful when I started exploring these streams in the winter about 5 years ago.
