Word to the wise when tubing net fish away from tube as far as possible. Don't try and land by pulling out of water and landing on lap.
I see inexperienced tubers doing this all the time. The spines from bass and other fish with the right force can puncture a tube several times.[unsure]
What I do is bring the fish to the surface, net him away from tube. Then put net in pole holder so fish never makes contact with me or tube.
Also keeps you from dropping fish if he is still in net.[
] Then simply de-hook and toss ( For us catch and release folks [cool] )
