FISHING: Fair
The Flows at Barrett's Diversion Dam are up to 451 C.F.S. The flows are up from the need for irrigation downstream and this is a great time to fish the Beaverhead. The high flows have moved some of the fish around and they have been feeding more actively due to more food being pushed their way. Nymphing is still the most productive fishing right now. If you are going to fish the tailrace area concentrate on midges and scuds fished on long leaders. If you fish the river below the high bridge you can fish larger flies and get away with heavier tippets.

Fly Pattern Suggestions :Red San Juan Worms, Red Sawyer PT #18-20, Grey Scud #14-16, Olive Scud #14-16, Red Midge Larvae #18-22, Olive Midge Larvae #18-22, Olive Hares Ear #16-18, Green Weenie #18-20.
