The ever-popular Spring Meadow Lake Cardboard Cup Regatta will take place this year on July 12.
<br>This family favorite has been making a splash in the Helena area for many years. To enter the regatta participants must build a boat, but these are no ordinary boats. While there are no size restrictions, the boats must be made of corrugated cardboard and pass a boat inspection before racing.<br>
<br>This does require some imagination, but no matter how fast or slow, big or small, sensible or outrageous, the first rule of the regatta is to have fun!<br>
<br>Awards will be given for best race time, most spectacular sinking, most creative boat theme, most attractive boat, most enthusiastic crew, judge's choice, and kiddie cup.<br>
<br>If you're not ready to test your seamanship, the event is just as much fun to watch as to participate in.<br>
