Romero: I really believe that many small boat fishermen are missing some good fishing opportunities in our local waters. It looks to me that many small boaters look for fishing spots by following the fleet around or gather around the sportboats. During the sand bass spawn you need a cop to direct the boat traffic on the "Junction". There are literally hundreds of "small rocks" that support large halibut, calico bass, sand bass etc. With a little practice any small boater can learn to set over these spots and catch qualityfish.
