The race is on!<br>The red horse suckers are starting their annual run<br>same with steelhead<br>and smelt.<br><br>I am getting reports from friends fishing near the river outlets by Augreys and Tawas areas for smelt and salmon few and far between but they are starting nonetheless. It will be any day now!<br><br>With the warm temps here in lower MI and ice is just in pieces this is the time of the "Red Horse Run" though there are not as many as there was thirty years ago because the state has stopped stocking them in the streams, they are still a tasty treat. I’ll be out in a day or so just as soon as I can find me another hole.
