Departed Messick boat ramp in Poquoson Va. to a pretty sunrise and 2-3 ft seas. I went straight to the ocean side of the 3rd island and anchored in about 10 ft next to the rocks. I did'nt have to move cause the bite was on nice and steady for about three hours. I caught 7 spades and kept my four. I had twice as many pull off. I also bottom fished with some fiddler and hard crab but only caught small sea bass and toads. I caught an unidentified fish that I am holding in my hand on a spade rig with clam. Then I ran around for about two hours with some eels looking for cobia, no luck there. I had a great morning and caught plenty of fish. I arrived back in Poquoson at 1300, covered 40 miles and burned 8.4 gals. Now I just need to go clean them so I can have dinner. Here are a couple of pictures.
