Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley
#1
Fall crappie fishing is in full swing on the big lakes. The crappie are around brush in 4' to 10' of water. Most are being caught on 1/16 oz. jigs cast to and over the cover. The bigger fish are being caught jigging minnows along brush found along the shallow drop-offs. Largemouth are fair to good on both lakes. They are being caught on plastic worms and top water baits around bruch in 4' to 6' of water. Shad color seems to be producing best. Whitebass are spotty but some nice stringers are being caught casting in-line spinners in the back of the bays. Catfishinfg is only fair on nightcrawlers over 10' to 15' of water. Bluegill are good on crickets and nightcrawlers around the docks.
