Bait

Haven't been out in months and rarely chase Stripers in the warmer months. Sooo, with that said what is bait situation like? Existent/non-existent? Typical spots in the Las Vegas Bay?

we shore fished just outside government wash in the main channel by the floating cage thing. at about 530/6 on we had boiling schools of shad just going up and down the shore for an hour. so close I bought a cast net to catch some cause stink bait sucks lol.

spent the first 2 hours trying to get a tow truck and this guy unstuck to no avail.

I was alway too chicken before I had a boat to drive into Gov't with a 2 wheel drive. That pic says why.

Hit the water Thursday. Zero bait found in the very back of Vegas. Some found in misc bays before the very back end. Not many but what I did get was perfect size of Threadfins. Lots of throwing the net to come up empty.

Fishing wasn't any better. Not much on the finder anywhere in Vegas Bay. Came home with only a couple Stripers and a Talapia that was caught in the net.
