Steamboat CO area
#1
I am headed to the Steamboat Springs CO area in a couple weeks, and I was curious whether some of you guys would be so kind as to share some insights for this area. Maybe some of streams and rivers you have fished there? Some of the go to flies for the area? Never been to this location, pumped for it, heard nothing but great things. Any insights and information is greatly appreciated.

The yampa can be fun if the water doesn't get too hot. Standard nymphs and major hatches too.

Right below stagecoach is a good place to try.

You may even get into a pike or two coming out of the reservoir.

I am not sure what the flows are or are going to be. It may be the middle July, before the rivers calm down up here and that portion of Colorado might be the same.
