Minersville Report
#1
Hey there!

I was looking to do some fishing down at Minersville in two weeks and I was wondering if anyone had fished there recently?

I typically fish right around the dam so I was wondering if the trout had started moving closer to shore with the cooler weather. Thanks!

I fished there daylight to noon on Oct. 30th. Trolled most of the lake with streamers, maribou jigs and minnow imitations. Most bites and hook-ups were on the north side working towards the dam. Bite was slow, but my dad and I got 4 monster rainbows to the boat. All were in the 3-5 lb range. No single fly/lure seemed to be key and the fish were off shore and spread throughout the water column. Water level is low. Deepest I remember marking was around 20 feet. 48 degree surface temp. Beautiful morning, but cold. Had the lake to ourselves, except one pontooner.

Thanks for the report! I was hoping that they were more in the shallows feeding on midges and buggers. I'll let you know how we do.
