Family Fishing Festival
Saturday at Yucaipa Park
YUCAIPA California-- The first-ever Family Fishing Festival will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Yucaipa Regional Park featuring fishing, camping, and outdoor activities for the whole family. The event is free with regular park entrance and fishing fees, should participants choose to fish.
The festival with feature a series of activity kiosks where family members can learn to cast and enter a casting contest, knot typing, gear selection, fishing cleaning and actually apply newly-learned skills. The lake will receive a special trout plant for this event. In addition, there are special kiosks on Dutch oven cooking, camp foods for backpacking, family tent pitching, sleeping bag rolling, and backpacking contests, kayaking lessons, and much more.
