Beaver River East of I-15
#1
Looking for some information on the Beaver River East of I-15. I have heard that it can be a lot of fun to fish.....but don't have much more info.
I'd like to plan a trip down that way this summer/fall.
Does it get a lot of pressure? Busy during the summer? Worth the drive?
Thanks

The canyon section is loaded with small browns and rainbows. The upper tributaries like Merchant Creek also have lots of fish. Can be really fun fishing, especially with hoppers and other terrestrials. Not a lot of pressure because most people fish the lakes on the Kent's Lake loop. Make sure you fish above the diversion at the mouth of the canyon - most water is diverted there. The lower Beaver below Minersville Res is also worth a try. Has some decent fishing for rainbows and a few large browns.

Don't believe what people say. There aren't many fish and it isn't fun at all!!! [Wink][Wink][Wink] (sarcasm intended)

I have taught multiple people how to fly fish on the upper stretches of this creek.

There is a good chance you will be the only one fishing certain stretches, especially on a weekday.
